I figure if we’re going to talk finances this time around, I should probably show the Internet what a typical month of expenses looks like for me.
- RECURRING EXPENSES
RENT: $658
STORAGE UNIT: $29
CABLE INTERNET: $50
CELL PHONE: $83
AUTO/RENTERS INSURANCE: $77
ELECTRIC: Varies (usually under $100)
- LOANS
CAR PAYMENT: $317
CC #1: $31
CC #2: $36
STORE CARD #1: $8.99
MEDICAL LOAN: $98
I know I haven’t included health insurance, entertainment, groceries, savings, etc. Don’t worry, all of those things are happening. My savings and health insurance are pulled out of my bi-weekly paycheck so I don’t really notice them as an expense, they’re just taken out of the equation.
I’m curious, how do your monthly expenses compare? More or less?
My monthly expenses are way less then yours. I will have to pay back some school loans in a couple of years, so I’m sure I’ll have to factor those in when the time comes.
Are your recurring expenses built on a single-person household?

All of my expenses are based on one income.
Ohh okay. I wondered because my cell phone bill is more than half of what yours is. I’m in college so I don’t have to worry about monthly rent payments.
If you don’t mind me asking, what do you do for a living? .
I work in a non-profit organization! That said, I don’t expect a major increase in my wages anytime soon!
